HONEST SCRAP AWARD


Bobby G over at The PA-IN Erudition posted his Honest Scrap Awards yesterday, and I made the list. Not exactly sure how I managed that, but I just find interesting bits here and there, and then let loose on a rant about them. Or find interesting things around here in south Texas.

I should have gotten out of my car and taken a picture Easter day, when I got pulled over for "failure to yield" at a stop sign (the cross street did not stop). I didn't see the cop, as I was watching the white long-haired cat walking across the yard the other direction.

He pulled me over, and then 2 more police cars pull up behind him...and they all get out and start yakking together for a good 10 minutes. It was HUMID that day, and it was HOT in my car, even with the windows rolled down. It seems like anytime someone gets pulled over in this town, more than a few cop cars pull up for a gabfest.

By the way, in the paper about a week ago, I read an article about the Sheriff saying that if an officer put in his papers for an 80 hour work-week, by gosh-darn-it, he was going to work that 80 hours! And after a write-up by a Houston news organization, about sex offenders living willy-nilly anywhere they want in our county, Hizzoner the Mayor says that there will be a law regulating where they can live - AND a large sign, with 2" high letters in capitals saying "sex offender vehicle". I haven't seen any of those signs around town yet... When I do, I'll get a picture.

You can keep up on the Rifka Bary case here also, the girl who converted to Christianity, and her father has threatened to kill her for it. Doctor Grumpy in the House. A neurologist, with a penchant for Diet Coke (the elixir of life), and some WHACKY patients! Also readers send in weird stuff to him that he posts...things you'd never think of in your wildest dreams. Dr. Grumpy is on Twitter.

Jihad Watch. A must read for what is going on in the world, as Islam marches on, taking down one country after another. Robert Spencer is on Facebook.

Legal Insurrection. A Cornell law professor's blog. I forgot how I found this one, but I check it every day to see what is going on in Washington and various parts of the country. Legal Insurrection is on Facebook and Twitter.

Dissecting Leftism. One of JonJayRay's blogs - an Aussie who finds, and sums up what is going on with the left all over the world. Check out his other blogs, they are interesting. He is also on Facebook.

Texas Ghostrider. A Texas detective, who has a penchant for crazy ties and motorcycles. :P

Sick, sick, sick

I was reading over at Jihad Watch, and came across this news story out of Pakistan: (My comments in bold italics)


Pakistan: Christian barber beaten, sodomized for trimming a Muslim's beard WHAT?

An elaborate set-up, as detailed below. Police have taken no action, and the family is still receiving threats. Over a beard. "Pakistani Muslims Severely Beat, Sodomize Christian Barber," from Compass Direct, April 28:

SARGODHA, Pakistan, April 28 (CDN) -- A Christian barber in this Punjab Province city is still recovering from broken bones and other injuries sustained earlier this month after eight Muslims allegedly beat and sodomized him for cutting the beard of a Muslim. Of course, "allegedly"...we know that they are so peaceful over there, just sitting around holding hands singing kumbayah.

Marwat Masih, 29, initially refused the request of 19-year-old Qandeel Cheema to cut his beard in Sargodha's Gulshan-e-Bashir town on April 13, knowing that area Sunni Muslims believe the Quran prohibits it. But Cheema, a high school student, told Masih that he had lived and studied in Lahore and therefore wanted a more modern look, the bed-ridden and feeble Masih told Compass. So, this guy WANTED his beard cut off...take a guess who gets blamed for this!

"I refused to shave his beard, but he showed me his packed bags and said that he would leave the town straight after the shave, and so no one would ever know that I had shaved his beard," Masih said. Maybe he thought he could get away with it, but Pakistan, despite our military being there, is really backwards...read on...

Eyewitnesses told Compass that as Masih was cutting Cheema's beard, the client's older brother - local radical Muslim land owner Shakeel Cheema - was returning by tractor from his fields and, noting the family Jeep in front of the Marwat Hair Stylist shop, stopped in.

"When Shakeel Cheema saw me shaving his younger brother's beard, he became angry and started vandalizing mirrors, the sound system and chairs, and he desecrated a wooden cross perched on the top of the front mirrors," Masih said. "He also started beating my head with his shoes." Great. His brother starts tearing up the place...of course, this is a religion of peace. And hitting or throwing your shoe at someone is a great insult.

Eyewitnesses told Compass that Shakeel Cheema shouted orders to his companions to tie Masih up and throw him into the wagon attached to his tractor, and that he ordered his younger brother to leave for Lahore at once. Get the evidence out of town...who needs evidence anyway, when a Christian does something in a Muslim country?

Masih said that he was blindfolded with a black cloth and taken to an unknown place where he was locked in a room. An hour later, Shakeel Cheema and seven others arrived and began striking him with clubs, breaking his ribs, a wrist and leg bones. Yep, religion of peace. For SHAVING A BEARD, he gets this? This is just brutality at its lowest. Well not lowest YET. There's more.

"Shakeel Cheema said, 'Now we are going to teach you a real lesson for shaving the beard of a Muslim man," Masih said, and after a long, pained pause he related how Cheema and the seven others sodomized him. "I started bleeding and fell unconscious." I guess homosexuality is not as bad as shaving a beard. From over at Atlas Shrugs we find that young boys are normally used for sex. Soldiers (at least the Canadians) are told to look the other way. I am not sure about the US Military, but this just shows the degredation of these areas, and the religion.

His father, Laal Masih, older brother Hassrat Masih and other relatives had begun searching for him, and after midnight that night they found him lying half-naked and unconscious off the main street of Gulshan-e-Bashir town, his father told Compass. They immediately took him to Rural Health Centre, where doctors kept him under observation for two days and treated him for internal bleeding and the broken ribs, leg bones and wrist. At least the doctors were able to treat him, and didn't turn him away.

"We submitted an application to the Saddr police twice, but they took no action against Shakeel Cheema and his accomplices," Laal Masih said. The family is appealing to Christian ministers and parliamentarians for assistance. The police take no action. I am not surprised. They will take no action for Christians who are harassed, beaten, sodomized, terrorized by Muslims.

Still receiving threats of harm if they do not leave the area, family members also said they cannot afford the fees of a standard physician and have resorted to help from lesser trained doctors. Once again the religion of peace

Police have refused to file a First Information Report against Cheema and his accomplices, who all remained at large at press time. Of course not. They were only following the dictates of their religion.

9:5 When the sacred months are over slay the idolaters wherever you find them. Arrest them, besiege them, and lie in ambush everywhere for them. If they repent and take to prayer and render the alms levy, allow them to go their way. God is forgiving and merciful.

Take a guess who the idolators are?

A shopkeeper next to Masih's barbershop told Compass that the barber deserved the abuse. Of course he deserved it...such a horrible thing, doing what a customer requests.

"He deserves such punishment, as he did something that is forbidden according to the teaching of the Quran and the sunna [arabic word for the sayings or habits of Muhammad, the prophet of Islam]," said Muhammad Maqsood, who has a long, white beard. "Marwat Masih paid for his crime."... And when will Islam pay for their crime(s)?

When you meet your enemies who are polytheists, invite them to three courses of action. If they respond to any one of these, you also accept it and withhold yourself from doing them any harm. Invite them to [accept] Islam; if they respond to you, accept it from them and desist from fighting against them. ... If they refuse to accept Islam, demand from them the jizya. If they agree to pay, accept it from them and hold off your hands. If they refuse to pay the tax, seek Allah’s help and fight them.

This religion of peace is a load of horse apples. If you're still believing it's a religion of peace, I have a pair of towers to sell you, the USS Cole, and other terrorized places.

HERE is a list of the past two months of terrorist attacks. Mind you, when you read this list, this is only two months worth. Islam has been throwing attacks for years, over 14,000.

On March 5, 2009 Officer Richard Salter along with a squad of officers were serving a narcotics search warrant at a house in Houston when his life changed dramatically. Officer Salter was the leading man when the officers broke down the door of the house to arrest the suspected heroin dealer. The confrontation resulted in Officer Salter's sustaining serious injuries from a gunshot to the face from a large caliber weapon. The accompanying officers in defense return gun fire and eliminated the gunmen. Upon investigation of the incident it was determined that the suspect was living in a heavily fortified residence with an elaborate surveillance system that he monitored through a large screen television which undermined the officers' element of surprise.

Officer Richard Salter has served in law enforcement for nearly three decades and now he must consider retirement not because he lost his heart to serve but due to the severity of his injuries along the difficult recovery. For his courageous and brave actions that day Senior Officer Richard Salter was honored on October 21, 2009 when Texas Governor Rick Perry presented him with the Star of Texas Award in a special ceremony.

Further in the Blago fiasco (typical Chicago politics), there is this:

According to the unredacted version of the memo, a labor union official told investigators that Mr. Obama had talked to him about the possibility of naming Valerie Jarrett, now a White House adviser, to the Senate.

"Labor union official told the FBI and the United States Attorneys 'Obama expressed his belief that [Senate Candidate B] would be a good Senator for the people of Illinois and would be a candidate who could win re-election," the redacted memo reads, according to the copy provided by the Tribune. Senate Candidate B refers to Jarrett.

The document also claims Mr. Obama had a conversation with Blagojevich in December, 2008, days before the governor's arrest. It also suggests Mr. Obama may have relevant information about Tony Rezko, a former Blagojevich adviser and fundraiser convicted of fraud and other charges, who is tied to this case. The document says Mr. Obama can testify about "Mr. Rezko's reputation for truthfulness as well as his own opinion of Mr. Rezko's character."

Dhimmitude coming

What is dhimmitude you ask? Dhimmitude is a neologism first found in French denoting an attitude of concession, surrender and appeasement towards Islamic demands.

Bat Ye'or defined dhimmitude as the condition and experience of those who are subject to dhimma, and thus not synonymous to, but rather a subset of the dhimma phenomenon: "dhimmitude [...] represents a behavior dictated by fear (terrorism), pacifism when aggressed, rather than resistance, servility because of cowardice and vulnerability. [...] By their peaceful surrender to the Islamic army, they obtained the security for their life, belongings and religion, but they had to accept a condition of inferiority, spoliation and humiliation."

A more recent pejorative usage variant of "dhimmi" and "dhimmitude" divorces the words from the historical context of jihad and applies them to situations where non-Muslims in the West and India are championing Islamic causes above others. "Dhimmi" is treated as analogous to "Quisling" within this context.

Both fit here. The US is turning into a dhimmi nation, afraid of the Hamas-linked unindicted co-conspirator CAIR.

Now South Park (who skewers EVERYONE), can't say the word Mohammed. They very well might end up as Theo Van Gogh did, dead on the streets because of "insulting Islam". A (now taken down) radical Islamic website issued threats against South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone, so Comedy Central caved.

On another note of dhimmitude, the Pentagon has caved to CAIR and dis-invited Franklin Graham from speaking at a Pentatagon prayer service.

As Pamela Geller writes at her blog Atlas Shrugs:

Hate sponsor CAIR National Executive Director Nihad Awad said, "Franklin Graham's appearance [at the Pentagon] has the potential to harm unit cohesion and morale through the promotion of distorted, intolerant and divisive views within military ranks." Is Awad threatening us with another Major Hasan Fort Hood jihad massacre? There is an implied threat.

The 911 terror mosque imam gave opening prayer at the legislature in Virginia, and Obama's inauguration prayer was by a terror-linked organization (CAIR).

CAIR has failed in one sense however, down in Miami - a SOIA (Stop the Islamization of America) advertisement running on Miami buses - after CAIR said they were 'insulting to Islam" and they were pulled - are back up!

An ad for Islam first ran on the buses in Miami, saying that Jesus, Moses and Abraham were Muslims (oh, but you can offend Christians and Jews all you want!) and gave a number for you to inquire about islam.

The decision was reversed, after they were threatened with being taken to court. CAIR did not win this time.

When the South Florida chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) pressured the Miami-Dade Country Transit Authority to yank bus panel ads contracted and paid for by Pamela Geller and Robert Spencer of the Freedom Defense Initiative because the ads were 'offensive to Muslims,' the two activists turned to the Law Offices of David Yerushalmi, P.C. for help. Mr. Yerushalmi joined forces with the Thomas More Law Center and the two law firms began preparing a federal complaint alleging breach of contract and a violation of Ms. Geller's and Mr. Spencer's First Amendment Rights.

It's time to stand up to these thugs.

When Geert Wilders short film 'Fitna' was originally to be shown to the British House of Lords, Lord Ahmed (yes, you read that right!) threatened that there would be 10,000 muslims rioting on the streets in response to this. England banned Geert Wilders (a Dutch Parliamentarian) for a time, but he was finally able to fly into England, and show the film to them. Despite the threats from Muslims about the rioting etc.

You can insult every other religion or sect, EXCEPT Islam, because they will kill ya daid.

No wonder it ran so shabbily. And the poodle catcher on it (got the bumper hooked up on a bike rack at a Jack in the Box in San Diego).

Florida Mayor wants to fire employees for smoking cigarettes at home (headline)

Talk about stupid. If she wants a no-smoking policy at work, that's fine. But this is vastly over-reaching into people's rights basically - the right to privacy. Unreasonable search and seizure almost. (that is another paragraph later on!)

I don't smoke. I quit smoking 22 years ago after hubby gave me the choice cigarettes or him...I smoked the last one to the filter, stubbed it out, gave the rest of the pack to a friend, and haven't looked back. Sure, it was hard...but no harder than life normally is!

If someone doesn't smoke at work, and their job is a no-smoking environment, their smoking at home should be NO BUSINESS of their bosses. What if there is a no-drinking rule? No drinking sugary drinks? No use of aerosols? Where does the crayziness stop?

She says this: “For employees, they would have one year to quit smoking or using chewing tobacco or face disciplinary action that includes termination." Talk about stupid.

We let the politicians trample on our rights all the time - maybe this time someone will actually stand up. The article says this is not only about privacy, but personal freedom, and government encroachment.

How far will you let the government tell you what to do (or not do, in this case?) Actually, this country was built on free enterprise - your ability to do a job better than someone else, be able to offer the product for less than your competitor, etc, and TOBACCO more than the libs are willing to admit. They keep saying "government out of our bedroom" but put the government over every little piddling thing someone does! They are talking out of both sides of their mouths.

On another note, unreasonable search and seizure. If you are within 100 miles of the US border (Canaduh or Mexico) you can be stopped by the Department of Homeland Security and literally asked for your papers, drug dogs could be brought into the back of your vehicle without any reason. Don't think it can't happen? It happened to a preacher in Arizona. Family guy, father of 7 (almost 8!). Pastor Anderson was stopped - here is his saga - he won the case, by the way. They can also search your computer. Nice, eh? I was reading that Google and the Library of Congress is archiving all Twitter activity. Nothing menacing here, right? I mean, those tweets are as important as the Gettysburg Address!

Rabid Puppy Prompts Search

The Texas Department of State Health Services and local officials are trying to locate a potentially rabid puppy that was given to an unknown man April 14 in the parking lot of Joe’s Food Market on Highway 21 West in Bryan .

One of the puppy’s littermates tested positive for rabies. DSHS, Bryan Animal Control and the Bryan Police Department are trying to locate anyone who might have come in contact with that puppy or its littermates.

The missing puppy is an 8-week-old blue heeler mixed breed male with black and grey markings. The puppy’s owners gave the puppy to an African American man in his 30s who showed interest in the puppy outside the convenience store. The man indicated he was moving to Arkansas or Oklahoma .

The man and anyone else who comes in contact with the puppy might be at risk of rabies exposure.

Anyone who has information about the puppy or its owner’s whereabouts, or who believes they have had contact with the puppy, is urged to contact DSHS at (254) 778-6744. People who believe they have had contact with the puppy also should talk to a physician to determine if their exposures warrant a series of rabies-prevention shots.

DSHS officials say the missing puppy might have been infected with rabies in March from a skunk that infected its littermate. The missing puppy appeared healthy last week but had contact with its rabid littermate during its infectious period in April.

DSHS laboratory test results confirmed rabies in the first puppy. Testing of two other littermates is pending.

The rabies virus most often is transmitted to humans through animal bites, but transmission can occur in other ways that allow the saliva of an infected animal to get inside the body of a person through open cuts, scratches or wounds or through mucous membranes in the mouth, eyes or nose.

Post-exposure shots can keep rabies from developing if given in time. Once symptoms of rabies occur in humans, rabies is almost always fatal.

Bryan is about 100 miles northeast of Austin .

99 weeks

99 weeks of unemployment? WHAT? WHY? Almost 2 years of unemployment? What can I say that hasn't already been said about the crayzeeness?

On another note, Fox Business figured 2 million people at Tea Parties across the country. There was one in town, and I went, along with the youngest, here with her sign "The few the angry the taxpayers"

We got lots of honks, and thumbs up from people, but two vehicles went by with people yelling O-BA-MA out of it.

On Huckabee

Jon Voight was on Huckabee this past Sunday, and he read a letter to the American people.



He said what many wish to say to Obama. More famous conservatives need to stand up, and say publicly what they believe, and not hide.

My youngest daughter is going to be holding a sign at the Tea Party here in our county Thursday. We have the gear for our signs, got our sharpies and black markers...now to figure out what to put on it. I got my Tshirt in the mail yesterday, "I love the smell of tar and feathers in the morning". I am not sure if I am going to wear that, or the one that I am having made up at the local sign/advertising shop. The store owner came to the Tea Party meeting last Tuesday.

Speaking of Tea Party, there are people of all ages - from people in their teens, to people in their eighties at our local meeting.

On another note, Michelle Obama's 'signature mission' isn't military families, despite during the campaign and later she said that was her raison d'etre but childhood obesity is. She should really stick with what she said she would do.

Tea Party here

Our local Tea Party (yeay!) is going to be held this Thursday, the 15th, from 5 pm till 6:30 pm, on the corner of 35 and 60, the north west corner of the court-house square. I'm picking up my sign materials.. One of the businesses in town is making up Tshirts, but I already ordered one from Cafepress that says "I love the smell of tar and feathers in the morning"

Hah! It arrived today. Now to concentrate on what sign to do.

Turns out the there is a paper called The Facts, they are doing the same thing the same day there. I guess I have to pick up a copy of it tomorrow to find out what is going on!

Alan Grayson


He first popped up in America's minds as the congressman who put on placards listing the Republican health care plan as "DIE QUICKLY". Evidently this guy is nuttier than the Planters Peanut.

There is also a blog up titled My Congressman Is Nuts. This blog made Grayson see red, and he asked Attorney General Eric Holder to look into it -- including a request that Angie Langley be fined and imprisoned for five years. Notice that what is on that site is only the truth, and Grayson's behavior is causing it.

He also calls someone that works at the Fed, Linda Robertson, "a K-street whore". Not satisfied with making a jackass out of himself so far, he goes on...

And reads into the Congressional record "the names of the dead"... i.e., those who died because the horribly mean Republicans were blocking health care reform. He's also set up a site for putting down your story of how the EVIL health insurance companies killed your loved ones. Or the MEAN hospitals and HORRIBLE doctors and nurses.

Just yesterday, Grayson went and busted up a district meeting of the local Orange County Republican Executive Committee at a Perkins restaurant. And threw a hissy. This site has video of Grayson I guess just being himself.

This "names of the dead" site includes people that in one case, the husband said it would be too expensive for testing...so guilted his wife into not going to the doctor. And the insurance companies are to blame for this how?

Oh here's one...the guy had problems for years, just never got any medical treatment. Did he not make any money during this time?

People seem to think health insurance should pay for EVERYTHING, including your regular check-up and shots, all kinds of stuff. Does your car insurance cover work you do on your car? If you have to change the oil, does car insurance pay for that oil change? NO. As it should not. People are thinking that health insurance is supposed to cover everything, when INSURANCE is just that - not the pay everything that people want it to be.

And Grayson et al do not see this for what it is - just a way for the government to take over a portion of the economy and control it... and it will go the way of Medicaid/Medicare and Social Security - paying out way more than it ever takes in.

Is it Friday already?

Wow, this week has gone fast! Lots of stuff happening - Obama making the US into a pussy nation, signing that "no nukes" treaty with Russia, and saying that we will not use nuclear weapons. What is that saying, STRENGTH THROUGH POWER? What is going to stop other nations from using any other types of weapons against us, if there is basically no threat of retaliation? We'd probably have the pResident just censure them. Say "no, no" and make frowny looks at them.

Obama is also blaming those who oppose him for "dividing the country". Klansmen without the hood and robe, racist and bigoted. I guess you could include "clinging to their guns and religion" also in there. Where the heck does he get off saying that? It's darn offensive, and HE'S the one being divisive, with his socialist ideas, and actions.

The Congressional Budget Office says our fiscal policy is "unsustainable"...Gee, ya think? The debt-to-GDP ratio would go from 63 percent this year to 90 percent by 2020, the CBO said.

Spending beyond your means, giving money that you take from Peter to pay Paul at ever-increasing levels...Pretty soon more and more people are going to figure out that this really can't work, and something has to be done.

I found out there is a Tea Party located in my county! I went to the coffeeshop earlier this week, and found out there was going to be a meeting Tuesday night. So off I went, and there were about 40 to 45 people. We are going to be at the courthouse square (on the sidewalk, as the county courthouse says NO to even stepping one foot on their property!), and I'll be there with my sign. Ordered a Tshirt that says "I love the smell of tar and feathers in the morning". I'm trying to decide what I want on my sign...either "who will $$ for it?" or a picture of a teabag, and a pitcher of Kool-aid saying "which one are you drinking?" HERE is the site where you can get free tea party signs, and ideas also for making your own sign with some board and a black marker. I was originally going to go to the Tea Party on the 15th in Houston, they are having a large one, but I am going to go to the local one.

Where has this year gone so far? It seems like it was just New Years. Is it just me, or as you get older, the year seems to go by quicker?

I got a new saddle for my bike (finally) so I'm off to go riding down among the fields. With my camera. Maybe the rice fields are flooded now. They had some already flooded on our way back from Houston yesterday.

We were discussing Larry the Cable Guy in chat today (teasing someone) and came up with the subject of MULLETS. Googled, and found Plague of the Mullets Some famous ones there. The only one I could think of off the top of my head, was Billy Ray Cyrus, of Achy Breaky Heart fame.

Is the President's resume accurate when it comes to his career and qualifications? I can corroborate that Obama's "teaching career" at Chicago was, to put it kindly, a sham.

I spent some time with the highest tenured faculty member at Chicago Law a few months back, and he did not have many nice things to say about "Barry." Obama applied for a position as an adjunct and wasn't even considered. A few weeks later the law school got a phone call from the Board of Trustees telling them to find him an office, put him on the payroll, and give him a class to teach. The Board told him he didn't have to be a member of the faculty, but they needed to give him a temporary position. He was never a professor and was hardly an adjunct.

The other professors hated him because he was lazy, unqualified, never attended any of the faculty meetings, and it was clear that the position was nothing more than a political stepping stool. According to my professor friend, he had the lowest intellectual capacity in the building. He also doubted whether he was legitimately an editor on the Harvard Law Review, because if he was, he would be the first and only editor of an Ivy League law review to never be published while in school (publication is or was a requirement). Consider this:

1. President Barack Obama, former editor of the Harvard Law Review, is no longer a "lawyer". He surrendered his license back in 2008 possibly to escape charges that he "fibbed" on his bar application. ...

4. A senior lecturer is one thing. A fully ranked law professor is another. According to the Chicago Sun-Times, "Obama did NOT 'hold the title' of a University of Chicago law school professor". Barack Obama was NOT a Constitutional Law professor at the University of Chicago.

5. The University of Chicago released a statement in March, 2008 saying Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) "served as a professor" in the law school, but that is a title Obama, who taught courses there part-time, never held, a spokesman for the school confirmed in 2008.

6. "He did not hold the title of professor of law," said Marsha Ferziger Nagorsky, an Assistant Dean for Communications and Lecturer in Law at the University of Chicago School of Law.

7. The former Constitutional senior lecturer cited the U.S. Constitution recently during his State of the Union Address. Unfortunately, the quote he cited was from the Declaration of Independence, not the Constitution.

8. By the way, the promises are not a notion, our founders named them unalienable rights. The document is our Declaration of Independence and it reads: We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal,that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.

9. And this is the same guy who lectured the Supreme Court moments later in the same speech? When you are a phony it's hard to keep facts straight.

President Obama's Occidental College transcripts have never been released. His Columbia transcripts are, likewise, AWOL. And his Harvard Law transcripts also haven't been made public. Finally, it's reported, he never published any articles while at Harvard, yet somehow served as Editor of Law Review. That would make him unique among editors, according to insiders.

Even John "D Student" Kerry was guilt-tripped into releasing his transcripts.

Curiously, since I relayed a report of Obama's "teaching career" at Chicago (he was apparently never a law professor, as some have claimed), the Illinois Bar has decided to partially redact what little public information it had available on its website related to the President's legal status.

An anonymous tipster points out that the Illinois Attorney Registration and Disciplinary Commission of Illinois has gone through some amazing contortions maintaining a single database record for a retired attorney named Barack Obama.

Obama is only transparent in the sense that his past is invisible.
