Fiat Dollars..here and there

I saw it on the Documentary Channel, and DVR'd it so I could watch it at my leisure.  Seems it was "the speculators" that were blamed then for going off the gold standard by Nixon (a 'temporary measure') and they're still being blamed today! Anyway, happy watching, it's quite informative.

    That's a POWERFUL video...
    What amazes me is that the government ALWAYS has these "temporary" measures...that NEVER seem to go away.

    They become PERMANENT temporary measures...whatta crock!
    And WE, the people end up on the crap end of that stick every single time.

    I know.. I was :O when I heard "temporary measure" to still the 'speculators'. Turns out the government is STILL blaming the speculators for fluctuations in gasoline prices too. Some things never change.
