I'll have to look that up..as it...Short-cycled? I'll have to look that up..as it is, I am ready for a new fridge - ours is 20 years old, and the plastic pieces are coming off. I'm ready for a double-door fridge, with NO icemaker in the door. The fridge, the ceiling fans, a light and the radio were the only things running. It gave me a chance to catch up on some reading and crocheting. Then after we got the AC on for a while, I started feeling COLD! it was a nice feeling though after a day of no AC. Summer is already here, some places are to go up to 105. Paul went out Thursday night and bought more strips at Wal de Mart. Plus a couple extra for just in case, on hand. the TV, directTV receivers, computer and monitor work just fine - tested them out immediately on the new strips. AT least they got ther...Diane:<br />Utility problem, eh?<br />AT least they got there before a week went by.<br /><br />Wonder if homeowners wil pick up the tab for the power strips (probably doesn't meet the deductable...isn't that always the way?)<br /><br />In Fort Wayne, we get what I call "power farts" - the power "blinks " out for JUST enough time to make you have to reset all the digital clocks (RRrrrrrrr)<br /><br />ANd of course, that plays hell with the fridge...they love to be "short-cycled" (best way to shorten the life of the compressor).<br /><br />Be sure to check any other appliances you may have had running checked...just to be sure.<br />If need be, get an electrician (or hubby, if he knows that stuff) and check your voltages.<br /><br />You don't want to be WITHOUT when you need to be WITH, (especially w/ summer 'round the bend), right?<br /><br />Take care.Bob G.https://www.blogger.com/profile/09222203353717749897noreply@blogger.com
